Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the rules governing user conduct and content on the Becoming Alpha platform. Becoming Alpha, Inc. is a Delaware corporation headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia (USA), and this platform operates under U.S. law. As a U.S.-based service, compliance with federal and Georgia law is paramount. Users in other jurisdictions (such as the EU or elsewhere) are expected to follow all local legal requirements when using the platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to abide by this AUP and all applicable laws.

This AUP should be read together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Content Moderation & Appeals Policy. For information about how we enforce this AUP and how you can appeal enforcement decisions, please see our Content Moderation & Appeals Policy.

Prohibited Conduct

Users must not engage in any illegal, abusive, or disruptive activities. Specifically, the following conduct is prohibited:

Fraud, Scams, and Deception

Engaging in any fraudulent or deceptive activities, including phishing, identity theft, or other scams. Providing false, misleading, or falsified information to circumvent policies is forbidden. For specific rules about impersonation and misrepresentation, see the "Impersonation & Misrepresentation" section below.

Financial Crimes

Using the platform to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit finance. Market manipulation or abuse (such as pump-and-dump schemes) and unauthorized multi-accounting (for example, creating multiple personal accounts without authorization) or bypassing bans or evading identity/KYC checks are prohibited.

Harmful or Violent Actions

Threatening or engaging in violence, harassment, or hate against any person or group. This includes any form of intimidation, abuse, stalking, or encouragement of physical harm. Content that promotes extremist ideology or political violence is forbidden.

Security and Interference

Hacking, reverse-engineering, launching denial-of-service attacks, or other activities that disrupt or damage the platform's operation. Users may not attempt to compromise platform security, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with others' use of the service.

Platform Governance Abuse

Misusing decentralized governance (DAO) features or voting mechanisms (for example, by submitting fraudulent proposals, colluding to manipulate outcomes, or exploiting governance rules). Any attempts to game consensus mechanisms or rewards are prohibited.

Prohibited Content

Users may not post or transmit content that is unlawful, offensive, or harmful. Prohibited content includes (but is not limited to):

Hate, Harassment, and Discrimination

Content that promotes hatred, racism, or discrimination, or that attacks protected classes (including race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc.). Any hateful, harassing, defamatory, or threatening messages are strictly banned.

Violence and Extremism

Content inciting or glorifying violence, terrorism, or illegal radical activity. This includes extremist propaganda, recruitment materials, or any content encouraging the use of weapons or violent wrongdoing.

Sexual and Adult Content

Pornography, erotic content, or sexually explicit material (including images, video, or text) is prohibited. Depictions of minors in any sexual context are strictly forbidden. Content that is obscene or indecent is disallowed.

Illegal or Fraudulent Content

Information or instructions that facilitate unlawful activities (e.g., hacking tutorials, drug manufacturing instructions, financial fraud techniques) are prohibited. Content that is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading (such as false investment schemes) is not allowed.

Spam and Malware

Unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or the distribution of malware (such as viruses or malicious code) is forbidden. Users may not use the platform to spread harmful or malicious software.

Automations, Bots & Scraping

The use of automated systems, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or interact with Becoming Alpha's platform is strictly restricted. Users may not:

  • Automated Account Creation: Use automated scripts, bots, or services to create multiple accounts or bypass registration processes
  • Web Scraping: Scrape, crawl, or extract data from our platform using automated tools, scripts, or services without our explicit written permission
  • API Abuse: Access our platform through automated means (including APIs, if provided) in a manner that exceeds reasonable use limits or violates our terms
  • Rate Limit Bypass: Use automated tools or techniques to bypass rate limits or access restrictions
  • Automated Trading or Transactions: Use bots or automated systems to execute trades, transactions, or marketplace activities without authorization
  • Spam or Bulk Operations: Use automated systems to send spam messages, post bulk content, or perform bulk operations

Authorized Automation: We may grant written permission for specific automated uses (e.g., authorized API access, approved third-party integrations). If you wish to use automation, bots, or scraping tools, you must obtain our explicit written consent in advance. Unauthorized automated access may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

We monitor for automated activity and may take action against accounts that exhibit automated behavior, even if the automation was not explicitly prohibited by these rules. If you believe your account was incorrectly flagged for automated activity, you may contact us to appeal the decision.

Impersonation & Misrepresentation

Users may not impersonate others or misrepresent their identity, credentials, or affiliations. This prohibition includes:

  • Identity Impersonation: Creating accounts or profiles that impersonate another person, entity, or organization, including Becoming Alpha staff, partners, or other users
  • False Credentials: Falsely claiming to be a representative of Becoming Alpha, an affiliate, partner, or authorized agent
  • Deepfakes and Synthetic Media: Creating or using deepfakes, manipulated images, videos, or other synthetic media to misrepresent identity or create false impressions
  • False Affiliations: Falsely claiming affiliations, partnerships, or endorsements from Becoming Alpha or third parties
  • Misleading Credentials: Using false or misleading credentials, certifications, or qualifications in your profile or communications
  • Brand Impersonation: Creating accounts, content, or communications that mimic or appear to be from Becoming Alpha or other brands without authorization

Impersonation undermines trust and can cause harm to individuals and the community. If you discover impersonation or misrepresentation, please report it immediately. Violations may result in immediate account termination and, in appropriate cases, referral to law enforcement.

Exception: Parody, satire, or clearly fictional accounts may be permitted if they are clearly marked as such and do not mislead users or cause harm. However, we reserve the right to remove any content that we determine is harmful or violates our policies, regardless of intent.

Enforcement

Becoming Alpha reserves the right to take action against any account or content that violates this AUP. We may suspend, block, or terminate user accounts for violations of these rules. Enforcement may occur at our discretion and may apply even if a breach was unintentional or caused by others using your account or credentials. A single violation can result in immediate suspension or termination. We also reserve the right to remove or disable any content that we determine violates this policy. You are responsible for any violations caused by others using your account or credentials.

Enforcement Transparency: Our enforcement actions follow a graduated approach based on the severity and frequency of violations. Typical enforcement steps include:

  • Warnings for minor or first-time violations
  • Content removal for policy-violating content
  • Feature restrictions limiting access to certain platform functions
  • Temporary suspensions ranging from 24 hours to 90 days depending on severity
  • Permanent account termination for serious or repeated violations

For detailed information about our enforcement process, types of actions we may take, and how to appeal enforcement decisions, please see our Content Moderation & Appeals Policy. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal the decision as described in that policy.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them immediately. You can notify our support team at support@becomingalpha.world. Provide details and any evidence (such as screenshots or account information) of the violation. We review all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Your reports help keep the community safe; we will take action to stop abusive or illegal behavior as quickly as possible.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Although the platform is accessible worldwide, we make no representations about availability or compliance outside the U.S.; users outside the U.S. are responsible for obeying their local laws.
