This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy, which govern other aspects of our services and data practices.

Advertising Channels and Formats

We engage in a wide range of advertising and marketing activities, including but not limited to:

  • Display and Performance Ads: Online banner ads, retargeting ads, and other performance-based campaigns (e.g. cost-per-click or cost-per-action ads).
  • Influencer Marketing: Sponsored posts, endorsements, or content by social media influencers and brand ambassadors.
  • Sponsored Content: Paid articles, posts, or native content on our website, email newsletters, social media platforms, video channels, and podcasts.
  • Native Advertising: Ads that match the look and feel of the surrounding content in feeds or recommended content placements.
  • Affiliate and Co-Branded Promotions: Partnerships with affiliates or other brands, including joint promotions and referral campaigns.

All such advertising efforts are covered by this Policy and must comply with its provisions.

Compliance with Laws and Platform Policies

Becoming Alpha fully complies with all applicable laws and regulations in our advertising. This includes U.S. federal and state laws, as well as major international privacy and financial regulations. We honor global data protection frameworks (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) in our marketing practices. We also follow financial industry requirements (such as KYC/AML rules) when advertising our blockchain-powered marketplace.

We strictly adhere to the ad policies of each platform and channel we use (e.g. Meta, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, etc.). We do not promote any product or service in violation of those rules. For example, we will not advertise unregulated crypto offerings (such as ICOs, token presales, or unregistered crypto tokens) or crypto trading services unless they are fully licensed and approved. If a platform requires pre-approval or special licensing for crypto ads (as many do), we will obtain all necessary permissions before running any campaign. We also respect all targeting restrictions: for instance, our crypto-related ads do not target minors (users under age 25) or regions where crypto ads are prohibited. By following legal and platform-specific rules at all times, we ensure our advertising is lawful and acceptable.

Content Standards and Disclosures

We maintain strict standards for the content of our advertising. In all ads and sponsored content, we prohibit:

  • False or Misleading Claims: All advertising must be factual, accurate, and verifiable. We do not make guarantees of profit, misleading promises, or unsupported comparisons. No "get rich quick" or other exaggerated claims are permitted.
  • Deceptive Tactics: We forbid manipulative or intrusive methods such as clickbait headlines, hidden fees, pop-up scare tactics, spam, or bait-and-switch schemes. All ads must respect the user experience and not deceive the audience.
  • Unapproved Crypto Promotions: We will never advertise unregistered crypto asset sales, ICOs, or any crypto financial services without the proper regulatory approval. Licensed crypto exchanges, wallets, or lending services are only advertised if compliant with all applicable laws and platform policies.
  • Offensive or Illegal Content: Ads must not contain hate speech, harassment, violence, illicit activities, adult content, or anything prohibited by law or by advertising standards. We also prohibit any content that impersonates another brand or is fraudulent; every claim in our ads must be substantiated.
  • Banned Products/Services: We do not advertise products outside our business scope that are broadly banned on major ad platforms (e.g. tobacco, illicit drugs, weapons, gambling, etc.).
  • Unauthorized Advertising: Only Becoming Alpha's official marketing team and approved partners may create and run ads on our behalf. We do not allow unvetted affiliates, influencers, or users to conduct unsupervised campaigns in our name.
  • AI-Generated Content: Any use of AI-generated imagery or personas in our ads will be clearly disclosed. We will label synthetic content so that it is not misrepresented as a real person.

Disclosure of Paid Content

All sponsored or paid promotions will carry clear disclosures. Influencer posts, sponsored articles, native ads, and co-branded content will be labeled according to FTC guidelines (for example, using "#ad," "Sponsored," or similar tags). Native advertisements will be distinguishable from editorial content, and any affiliate links will include appropriate disclaimers of our financial relationship. In every case, we present disclaimers and fine print in a clear and conspicuous way. By being transparent about sponsorships and partnerships, we meet legal requirements and build trust with our audience.

Influencer and Paid Promotions

Becoming Alpha engages with influencers, creators, brand ambassadors, and content partners to promote our platform, ALPHA token, and ecosystem. All influencer and paid promotional activities must comply with applicable laws, platform policies, and these requirements.

Mandatory Disclosures:

  • Sponsored Content Disclosure: All influencer posts, videos, articles, or other content created as part of a paid relationship with Becoming Alpha must clearly and conspicuously disclose the sponsorship. Disclosures must be placed where they are easily noticed and understood (not buried in fine print or hashtags at the end of a post). Acceptable disclosure methods include:
    • Clear statements such as "Sponsored by Becoming Alpha," "#ad," or "#sponsored"
    • Disclosures at the beginning of videos, articles, or posts (not just in descriptions)
    • Verbal disclosures in video or audio content
    • Prominent labels or badges identifying content as sponsored or paid
  • Compensation Disclosure: Where required by law or platform policy, influencers must disclose the nature of compensation received (e.g., payment, free tokens, products, services, or other benefits). This includes any relationship beyond direct payment, such as equity stakes, token allocations, or long-term partnerships.
  • Platform-Specific Requirements: Different platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X) have their own disclosure requirements. All influencers and partners must comply with both platform-specific rules and applicable legal requirements (such as FTC guidelines in the U.S., CAP Code in the UK, or similar regulations elsewhere).

Prohibited Content in Influencer Promotions:

  • No Promises of Returns: Influencers must not make any promises, guarantees, or suggestions that purchasing or holding ALPHA tokens, participating in projects, or using Becoming Alpha's services will result in profits, returns, or guaranteed financial gains. Statements such as "guaranteed returns," "can't lose," or "get rich quick" are strictly prohibited.
  • No Minimization of Risks: Influencers must not downplay, minimize, or omit material risks associated with cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, ALPHA tokens, or projects launched on Becoming Alpha. All promotional content must acknowledge that cryptocurrency investments carry significant risk and may result in loss of capital.
  • No Investment Advice: Influencers must not provide investment advice, recommendations, or opinions on whether to buy, sell, or hold ALPHA tokens or any other tokens. Content should focus on the utility and features of the platform, not on investment potential or price predictions.
  • No False or Misleading Claims: All claims made by influencers must be accurate, truthful, and verifiable. Influencers may not make false statements about Becoming Alpha's services, partnerships, regulatory status, or any other material facts.
  • No Manipulation: Influencers must not engage in or encourage market manipulation, pump-and-dump schemes, or coordinated efforts to artificially inflate token prices or trading volume.

Influencer Agreement Requirements:

  • All influencers and partners must enter into written agreements with Becoming Alpha that specify:
    • Scope of work and deliverables
    • Compensation terms
    • Disclosure requirements
    • Content approval processes
    • Compliance obligations
    • Termination conditions
  • Influencers must agree to comply with all applicable laws, platform policies, and Becoming Alpha's policies, including this Advertising Policy, Terms of Service, and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Becoming Alpha reserves the right to review and approve all influencer content before publication and to request revisions or removal of content that violates these policies.

Consequences of Non-Compliance:

Influencers who violate these requirements may have their agreements terminated immediately, may be required to remove non-compliant content, and may be prohibited from future partnerships with Becoming Alpha. Becoming Alpha may also report violations to relevant regulatory authorities or platforms.

Financial Promotion and Regulatory Requirements

Marketing of cryptocurrency, blockchain services, and digital assets is subject to strict regulatory requirements in many jurisdictions. Becoming Alpha recognizes these requirements and implements measures to comply with applicable financial promotion rules.

Jurisdiction-Specific Restrictions:

  • United Kingdom: Financial promotions of cryptoassets in the UK are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We comply with UK financial promotion rules and ensure that all promotional materials include appropriate risk warnings and comply with FCA requirements. We may restrict or geofence certain content in the UK where required by law.
  • European Union: Marketing of cryptoassets in the EU is subject to MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) Regulation and national requirements. We comply with applicable EU regulations and may restrict campaigns in certain EU member states where required.
  • United States: Cryptoasset marketing in the U.S. is subject to securities laws, commodity laws, and state-specific regulations. We comply with applicable U.S. requirements and do not promote unregistered securities offerings.
  • Singapore and Other Jurisdictions: We comply with applicable laws in all jurisdictions where we operate. Some jurisdictions may prohibit or heavily restrict cryptoasset marketing. We may geofence, restrict, or prohibit campaigns in certain jurisdictions to ensure compliance.

Geofencing and Campaign Restrictions:

  • We may implement geofencing or other technical measures to restrict or prohibit access to promotional content in jurisdictions where such content would violate applicable laws or regulations.
  • Campaigns may be modified, restricted, or suspended in response to changes in law, regulatory guidance, or enforcement actions.
  • We reserve the right to restrict campaigns at any time to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Risk Warnings:

  • All promotional materials that mention ALPHA tokens, investments, or financial outcomes must include prominent risk warnings that:
    • State that investments carry risk and may result in loss of capital
    • Emphasize that past performance does not guarantee future results
    • Clarify that cryptocurrency prices can be highly volatile
    • Direct users to our Risk Disclosure Policy and ALPHA Token Terms
  • Risk warnings must be clear, conspicuous, and easily readable, not hidden in fine print or disclaimers.

No Targeting of Restricted Audiences:

  • We do not target minors (users under 25 years of age) or vulnerable populations with cryptoasset promotions.
  • We comply with platform-specific restrictions on targeting (e.g., age restrictions, geographic restrictions, or audience exclusions).

Data Use and Privacy Compliance

See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use and share personal data (including for ad targeting).

User Rights and Controls

Users have clear rights to control how their data is used for advertising. In accordance with our Privacy and Cookie Policies, users can:

  • Manage Cookie Preferences: Use our website's cookie banner or consent center to enable or disable categories of cookies at any time. Essential cookies necessary for site function remain enabled, but users may opt out of all marketing cookies.
  • Browser Opt-Out Signals: Configure browser settings or extensions (such as Global Privacy Control) to signal advertising preferences. We honor a GPC "opt-out" signal by disabling all advertising and profiling cookies.
  • Industry Opt-Out Tools: Visit industry opt-out portals (e.g. the Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative opt-out pages) to block interest-based ads across multiple networks.
  • Unsubscribe from Marketing: Opt out of promotional emails or other marketing communications by following the unsubscribe instructions we provide, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

These controls put users in charge of personalization. We make it as easy to withdraw consent for marketing as it is to give it.

Editorial Integrity

We hold ourselves to high editorial standards in advertising. All marketing materials are reviewed internally to ensure accuracy and consistency. We will not approve any ad that misrepresents our platform or omits material information. Every promotional message (such as claims of "secure transactions" or compliance with regulations) must be truthful and reflective of our actual practices. By maintaining editorial integrity, we ensure that our ads are not deceptive and that they reinforce user trust.

Policy Review and Updates

This Advertising Policy is reviewed at least annually and updated as needed to address changes in law, platform requirements, or our business practices. All Becoming Alpha team members and marketing partners must comply with this Policy. Violations may result in disciplinary action or termination of campaigns.

By following this Policy, we ensure that our advertising is ethical, transparent, and legally compliant. We reinforce our reputation as a responsible advertiser and protect the interests of our users and partners.
